Visit places and events in the life of renowned US writer Ernest Hemingway during his 25 years in Havana.
After breakfast, departure time at 08:30am, and travel towards the La Vigia Farm Museum in the neighborhood of San Francisco de Paula, where the Nobel Literature Prize laureate Ernesto Hemingway lived. The house has his personal library with some 7 000 books, hunting and fishing equipment in addition to other personal objects.
Continue the tour to the fishing town of Cojimar, located east of Havana. The renowned US writer frequently visited this town and where he stored his boat El Pilar. You can visit the home of his dear friend the late Gregorio Fuentes who accompanied Hemingway in all of his adventures through the waters of the Gulf.
Optional lunch at the La Terraza Restaurant in Cojimar, which specializes in seafood, and where the US writer would spend hours talking to the town’s fishermen.
Visit the surrounding areas of the Morro Cabaña Fortress where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Havana, its colonial and modern sections, the romantic Malecon Seaside Drive and Havana Bay.
Visit the Ambos Mundos Hotel and the room where Hemingway lived and wrote some of his most important books. You will also visit the famous Bodeguita del Medio, walk down Obispo Street up to the Floridita Restaurant where Ernest Hemingway enjoyed his favorite cocktail the Daiquiri, while contemplating a bronze statue of the writer leaning on the bar.
