Day 2 HAVANA

Experience Old Havana, the historical center of Havana which together with old fortifications built by the Spaniards in colonial times were declared by UNESCO world heritage city.

09:00 Full City Tour of Old Havana starting the walking tour of Old Havana from the Templete, where Havana villa was founded in 1519 ( just celebrated last November its 500 years of foundation) Walking through the Plaza de Armas and all other Squares of Old Havana: San Francisco de Asís Square, then to Old Square, visit the Cathedral Square. Seeing the monuments and buildings more relevant from the different centuries all well preserved, the Palacio Del Segundo Cabo, the Cathedral.

Entrance to the Castillo de la Real Fuerza, first fortress built by the Spaniards in Havana to defend the city from the pirates and corsairs attack. You will appreciate here the Havana´s symbol, the Girardilla.

Entrance to Havano cigar´s factory Partagás to learn about hand-made roll up process to make most exquisite world famous Cigar and the Rum Museum, the spirit which mixed to make between best world cocktails Mojito, Daiquiri and Piña Colada.

Visit the Museum of Colonial Arts as well as the Center Wilfredo Lam of Arts and Painting.

After optional luncheon, walk through Obispo Boulevard appreciating the bohemian ambiance of Havana, enjoy every corner music and dance bar and appreciate the architecture.

Visit El Floridita restaurant and bar, preferable place of Hemingway in the forties and fifties.

See most famous Havana´s buildings like former Presidential Palace, nowadays the Museum of Revolution, and the majestic Paseo del Prado Avenue where the Grand theater of Havana is located as well as grand Capitol building of Havana, considered one of the greatest Palace buildings of the world.

Day 3 HAVANA

Know best Havana´s attractions of the Central Havana, the modern area of the City like Vedado neighborhood and west residential area of Miramar..

Enjoy 08:00 Breakfast.

09:00 Departing for tour of Central Havana appreciating Avenue Reina where majestic Iglesia de Reina is located, also the Mason building, go through Belascoain Avenue where you will see other cigars factory and the market of Cuatro Caminos recently refurbished.

Then visit Callejón de Hamel (Hamel Alley), the epicenter to the Cuban Afro-Culture, to be in contact with a very original street art gallery and Rumba dance (recommended for Sundays when performance is available). Around corner you will see great hospital Hermanos Almejeiras..

Luncheon at local family private restaurant.

Continuation to the Revolution Square where you will drop of the car to walk around and take pictures, will see different buildings surrounding the Revolution Square including Memorial Marti , few Ministerial building, the National Library and National Theater.

On the Vedado area you will see Columbus Cemetery , one of greatest and historical beautiful Cemetery in América and in the world with more than 500 mausoleums, chapels and family vaults.

Then you will go to Paseo and President Avenues where greatest Vedado´s mansions are standing up, also on 17 street.

You will be drive on 23 Street one of most centric Avenues of the city, going through important Havana buildings like Coppelia ice cream parlor, the former Hilton Hotel, nowadays Hotel Tryp Havana Libre (inaugurate in 1957, it was first Hilton hotel built outside USA at that time), until you reach Malecón Habanero ( Havana´s promenade).

Going through Miramar and Siboney residential area on Fifth Avenue with its beautiful parks, residences and churches..

See the national institute of Arts, and social project of Fusterlandia in Jaimanita, west of Havana by painter José Fuster.

Back to the Vedado area, an visit world know prestige Hotel Nacional of Cuba, most historical hotel declared national monument . Visit the hall of fame where picture of world leaders and famous artist are exhibited while zipping a Mojito cocktail.
