Day 2, HAVANA CITY TOUR

City Tour of Old Havana starting the walking tour of Old Havana from the Templete, where Havana villa was founded in 1519. Walking through the Plaza de Armas and all other Squares of Old Havana: San Francisco de Asís Square, then to Old Square, visit the Cathedral Square. Seeing the monuments and buildings more relevant from the different centuries all well preserved, the Palacio Del Segundo Cabo, the Cathedral, including entrance to El Floridita Bar, with one drink included.

Day 3 HAVANA AND ITS COLONIAL FORTRESSES

Day, 4 HAVANA –SOROA- VINALES

07:30 early breakfast.

Check out and departure to Soroa, known as the Rainbow of Cuba .

10:00 Entrance to one of the most interesting botanical gardens in Cuba, also visit beautiful waterfalls in the area, Free time for swim in River.

12:00 Optional luncheon.

13:00 departing to Viñales Valley, one of the most beautiful areas of Cuba with their rare hill name Mogotes, fertile land where best tobacco leaf is grown. Place of wonderful caverns, little country routes and amazing landscapes. Visit Los Jazmines viewpoint from where you will have an excellent view over the Valley.

14:45 Entrance to the Indian caves with a boat ride inside the cave.

16:30 Visit the spectacular wall painting on the side front of one of the mogotes hill in Viñales painted by Cuban artist with the collaboration of a Mexican painter, who worked with famous Mexican muralist painter Diego Rivera, a painting which reflects a vision of how was live in the valley at the beginning, this area of Viñales and Pinar del Río is considered geologically the oldest part of Cuba, which emerged first from the Sea.

Day 5, VINALES

08:00 breakfast.

09:00 starting with your tour guide the trekking tour of Cocosolo_Palmarito, surrounded by stunning landscapes and ride past the famous Viñales Valley You will visit a coffee farm where you will learn all about the making of coffee..

11:00 Continuation to community El Moncada, 18 kms from Viñales Valley where Great Cavern of Santo Tomás is located, the third largest cave in Latin America of more than 45 kms long.

You will visit the cavern with your local tour guide.

Then will go to a local restaurant to have optional luncheon if you wish before departing to Vueltabajo region (or you may go straight to Vueltabajo), considered the best place of the world for the cultivation of the aromatic leaves, mainly covered tobacco, used for the wrappers that will cover the most famous cigars in the world. Live the unique experience of visiting Vegas Robaina or similar.

Back to Vinales.

Day 6, VINALES–CIENFUEGOS

08:00 Breakfast.

09:00 Departure to Trinidad via Cienfuegos.

Tour of Cienfuegos City, founded by French settlers who came from Louisiana, USA in 1819. This history gives it an air and architectural style that is distinctive from that of the rest of the island. This city appeal lies partly in the European flavor of its colonial heritage, with a wide Parisian-style boulevard and elegant colonnades, and there is an ambience to inspire Cuba’s most celebrated Son singer Benny Moré to write the words “Cienfuegos is the city I like best”. .

Ciénaga de Zapata National Park, a must-see for travelers, is an attraction for wildlife lovers and intact habitats. It is considered an important area, recognized with the category of Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Among the prominent places we find the crocodile breeding center, La Laguna del Tesoro, Pueblo Taíno and Playa Larga.

Continuation to a beautiful swimming whole (cenote) name Cueva de los Peces which resembles a huge natural tropical fish tank.

Day 8, CIENFUEGOS TRINIDAD.

Bird watching tour.

Laguna Guanaroca is a mangrove-rimmed saline lake southeast of Cienfuegos, is the most important protected area in the province of Cienfuegos. It is characterized by one of the most unique ecosystems in our country, and is essential in sustaining marine life in the Cienfuegos Bay. A great variety of aquatic birds find refuge in its waters, such as: pink flamingos.

Day 9, TRINIDAD

08:30 Tour of the City of Trinidad established by the Spaniards in 1514 and lined with cobblestone streets and colorful houses, the town of Trinidad is easy to wander around and almost every scene offers superb photographic opportunities – from locals casually smoking their huge cigars on the doorsteps of their homes to old Chevrolets cruising by.

In the Plaza Mayor, central of the old town, there is a statue of Terpsichore -muse of dance and music-, accompanied by the singular beauty of the Church of the Holy Trinity.

The squares of Santa Ana and Las Tres Cruces, the Bell Tower of San Francisco and numerous palaces bring a unique beauty to the city.

Day, 10 TRINIDAD-TOPES DE COLLANTES-TRINIDAD.

After early breakfast , departing for Topes de Collantes.

Goes for a trekking tour in the Topes de Collantes, Sierra del Escambray range, most central mountain system in Cuba.

Enjoy best Flora and Fauna, many of them native from this area in Cuba.

Have a great active outdoor tour and a Creole luncheon as part of a wonderful local Cuba experience.

Around 3 or 4 pm back to Trinidad, it is of great satisfaction spend your afternoon at beautiful Caribbean blessed beach Ancon beach to relax and get back your energies after hard exercising at Cuban forest.

Going through Manaca Iznaga at the “Sugar Mills valley”, the valley which make millions for some local Creole people in Trinidad which brought prosperity to that City hundreds of years ago, as well as tourism is doing now, bringing prosperity again to the wonderful small City of Trinidad, Cuba.

Continues trip to Camaguey.

Starting the City tour of Camaguey declared by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage of Humankind, visit the historical Center, the Agramonte Square, the Museum of Agramonte, the City Museum, visit the main squares, the principal Church.

Day 12 CAMAGUEY-BAYAMO.

08:00 Breakfast and check out.

09:00 Depart to Bayamo, cadre of Cuba nation (around 4 hours drive).

13:00 arrival to Bayamo City, at the historical center.

Nice small Cuba city with abundant history in the V centuries of Cuba history.

Tour of the historical Center at Carlos Manuel de Cespedes Square where you will visit the home where this illustrate Cuban born and grow and from where organize the first Independence War against the Spanish Empire domination in the XIX Century.

See other great buildings, at the time, the mansions of influencer Cuban creole who were also key pieces in the revolution organize together with Carlos Manuel de Cespedes which started with the liberations of the African slaves who were joining the independent army.

Day 13, BAYAMO- SIERRA MAESTRA TREKKING

Today after early breakfast you will star a trekking tour to a historical place in the Sierra Maestra, largest range in Cuba with an extension or more than 250 kms and has the highest peak in Cuba: the Turquino at 1974 meters height. This tour is about recently history of Cuba, relate it to what is known as “The Cuban Revolution”, of Fidel Castro who was its primary protagonist. La Plata was the headquarter of Fidel Castro leader of the Rebels Army who fought the regime of Fulgencio Batista and defeated it on January 01, 1959installing in power a new type of government still in power in Cuba for more than 60 years until today.

This tour takes around 7 hours, with a medium level of complexity, in one of the greatest Cuba National Park: Turquino National Park. When you arrive to “Headquarter La Plata” you will see around 16 constructions which played different roles during that war.

Come back to Bayamo arriving around between 5-6 pm, check out and get the bus to go to Santiago de Cuba (driver for 2.30 hours).

Day 14, SANTIAGO DE CUBA.

Santiago de Cuba is considered also the home of Cuban Rum, the music name “Son”, one of the main source of modern Cuban popular music including “Salsa” music and also the cadre of most recent Cuba Revolution led by Fidel Castro as well as the fights which took place in the XIX century in Cuba to get independence from Spain Empire.

Visit Céspedes Park, which the center of the historical area of Santiago de Cuba, where you will see the municipal government building, the first house built in Cuba by general governor and conquer of the island in the xvi century Diego Velázquez nowadays a Museum, the Hotel Casa Granda the emblematic Hotel of Santiago de Cuba and the Santiago de Cuba´s Cathedral which you will visit.

Day 15, SANTIAGO DE CUBA-LA GRAN PIEDRA (BIG STONE).

Visit the Gran Piedra Park where you will have most excellent view over the nature of the area surrounding Santiago de Cuba Enter to the ruins of a French coffee plantation the Isabelica.

Lunch in a local restaurant at Gran Piedra.

On the way back visit La Granjita de Siboney, from where Fidel Castro and his companions were hidden and left on early morning of July 26 1953 to assault the second most important military barrack in Cuba, attempt which not fructified and all of the group were rejected and dispersed, many died of were assassinated and others were made prisoners.

Then you will visit the Moncada Barrack Museum, used to be the main military fortress of Santiago de Cuba which was attacked by revolutionaries group led by Fidel Castro in 1953 departing from La Granjita which ended in a defeat for you young revolutionary movement July 26 ( it was attacked on July 26 1953), a day of Carnival in Santiago de Cuba where the whole city was immerse in the festivities.

ALEJANDRO DE HUMBOLDT National Park” Trekking Tour.

The trail in question is called Balcony of Iberia which is a trek that starts in the town of Santa Maria where you cross walking the river that the same name, one of many that make up at the National Park. This hike lasts for 5 hours through 11 km, where there is an abundant representation of flora and fauna. Some of flora are endemic to this area as the najesí and the fauna is the the most representative the mammal almiquí with nightlife and hard habit to see, the great diversity of birds like the parrot, the carpenter, the tocororo and zunzuncillo you can appreciate.
