Day 2 HAVANA

08:30 Breakfast.

09:15 Full City Tour of Old Havana guided by a specialist of the Office of the Historian of Havana. Starting the walking tour of Old Havana from the Templete, where Havana villa was founded in 1519. Walking through the Plaza de Armas and all other Squares of Old Havana: San Francisco de Asís Square, then to Old Square, visit the Cathedral Square. Seeing the monuments and buildings more relevant from the different centuries all well preserved, the Palacio del Segundo Cabo, the Cathedral; entrance to the Museum of Capitanes Generales & the Old Havana Small Scale Museum.

Visit the Wilfredo Lam Contemporary Art Center in Old Havana; visit the Cerography Center at the Cathedral Square.

14:00 Lunch at Family/Private Restaurant El Fígaro.

After lunch visit the Aisle of the Barbers in Old Havana, a project which is changing the life in the area of Central Havana, thanks to the private initiative of “Papito the Barber”.

16:00 Visit the Prado Avenue, the Grand Theater of Havana, and the Capitol Building. Continue to Colon Cemetery, one of the most historical cemetery of the world and the most significant in Latin American with more of 500 mausoleums, chapels and family vaults; enjoy some of the most relevant mansions of the Vedado on Paseo Avenue, President Avenue, 17 Street between others, visit the University of Havana, the Coppelia building, the Rampa, the first Hilton built outside USA in the fifties, etc.

Day 3 HAVANA

08:00 Breakfast.

09:30 Visit the Colon Cemetery, one of the most historical cemetery of the world and the most significant in Latin American with more of 500 mausoleums, chapels and family vaults; visit some of the most relevant mansions of the Vedado on Paseo Avenue, President Avenue, 17 Street between others, visit the University of Havana, the Coppelia building, the Rampa, the first Hilton built outside USA in the fifties, the Museum of Decorative Arts and the Napoleonic Museum.

14:00 Optional Luncheon.

15:00 Then go to nearby Miramar and Siboney counties, visit the National School of Fine Arts considered the building more representative of the architecture trend in the sixties in Cuba, visit the Jaimanita and the art project known as Fusterlandia created by the painter Jose Fuster in Jaimanita.

19:00 Back to the Hotel.

Day 4, HAVANA - LAS TERRAZAS - VIÑALES VALLEY

07:00 Early Breakfast.

07:30 Departure for Tour to the western region of Cuba, first Las Terrazas community Project.

08:45 Visit the Curujey Interpretation Center where you will receive an explanation about this reforestation Project, how it was, how has developed and what is expected in the future.

Visit the ruins of the French Coffee plantation, visit the community.

11:00 Departing for Pinar del Río.

11:25 Visit the Montesino Cigar Farm where you will see the tobacco plantations and the process of drying the tobacco leaf from where the Havana Cigar is produced.

16:30 Visit Marianao and Cerro neighborhood, appreciate the architecture and Houses from the late XIX and early XX Century.

12:15 Continuation of trip to Pinar del Rio City.

13:25 Entrance to the Cigar Factory to learn about the process of producing Hand-made Havano Cigar.

14:30 Visit Los Jazmines viewpoint from where you will have an excellent view over the Valley.

15:00 Lunch at Restaurant Rancho San Vicente or similar.

16:15 Entrance to the Indian caves with a boat ride inside the cave.

Enjoy the town.

Dinner at the Hotel´s restaurant.

DAY 5 TRINIDAD – TOPES DE COLLANTES - TRINIDAD

08:00 Breakfast.

08:30 Full day tour, with a guide, to Topes de Collantes to do the Caburní trail. Travel by Russian trucks to the Escambray Montains, where hiking, jungle trekking with waterfall.

13:30 Cuban lunch organized by the campesinos.

Back to the homestay in the late afternoon.

Free evening.

It is recommended to enjoy the cultural life and night life in Trinidad, of a particular interest is some galleries of arts in the Historical Center of Trinidad as well as Casa de la Trova.

DAY 6 TRINIDAD – HAVANA

07:00 Breakfast.

08:00 Transfer to Havana by Tourist Bus “Conectando Cuba”.

15:40 Meet and greeting upon arrival, transfer to your Homestay where you will stay the last evening of the Program.

20:00 Farewell dinner at a Family Restaurant San Cristobal in Central Havana or similar.

Back to the homestay.

Museum located in the old Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, opposite the Plaza de Armas. It is the representative city museum. Its more than thirty rooms exhibit valuable collections of plastic, decorative and utilitarian objects that recreate the historical and cultural evolution habanera arts. Trinidad

Trinidad, officially founded as Villa of the Holy Trinity and called by some historians and people like La Trinidad or Trinidad of Cuba. It is a city in the central region of Cuba, specifically in southern Sancti Spiritus province, and is the capital of the municipality of the same name. The Villa of the Holy Trinity was the third village founded by the Spanish crown in Cuba in early 1514. In 1988 UNESCO inscribed on the World Heritage List the historic center of Trinidad near the Valley of the Sugar Mills [2], zone where sugar flourished with the arrival of families Iznaga Borrell and Brunet towards the middle of the nineteenth century.
